About Me
Hello, my name is Steve Atwell, and I am the Owner / Broker of Buyer's First Realty, in Northwest Arkansas. My background as an independent businessman began with a newspaper route and cleaning yards as a youngster. For twenty years I owned a distributorship for a major dairy company in New Mexico, and also had a full service Real Estate Brokerage, which included a construction company to build custom homes.
In 1997, my wife and I, and our Boxer, moved to the Northwest Arkansas area. Right after beginning my real estate business here, I was diagnosed with terminal liver disease, so for 2 ½ years, until my liver transplant in 2004, I worked my business moderately.
It has now been almost seven years since my transplant, and thankfully, I am stronger and healthier than ever before, and ready to help you. My area of emphasis is Buyer’s Agency, which means representing you in your real estate purchase, from the beginning with your initial search, to the conclusion of the transaction. Frequently, my former clients ask me to list their homes for sale, as they are familiar with my work ethic and professional approach. As your Buyer’s Agent, you have my complete representation in your real estate transaction, and total commitment to your best interests being served throughout the process.
My experience in real estate covers residential, commercial, land, and also overseeing new construction for clients.
My credentials include the designations GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and an ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative). Also, I have taken extensive classes in Buyer’s Agency and other real estate subjects. I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, and the Local Board of Realtors in Bella Vista / Bentonville.
